The employment process needs to consider many issues, but practical experience and continuous professional development is a pre-requisite. Membership of a professional association ensures adherence to a code of conduct, minimum skill levels and up-to-date practices and knowledge.

Con Livissianis is the Convenor of the Directors Discussion Group for CPA Australia in NSW.  The group meets bi-monthly and invite guest speakers to give a presentation on topical issues.  Networking is encouraged before the meeting at 6pm and each meeting runs for 2 hours.  You do not have to be a CPA member to attend, but bookings are essential. 

Our members are both experienced directos and budding directors who are CPA's with many years of experience and are interested in learning about what is required and what rules and obligations apply specifically to directors.
